Send a quote as a link. Your client reads it, signs by typing their name, and pays a deposit if you asked for one — then one press turns it into an invoice.

How it works

Quotes, step by step.

Send quotes clients sign online, with a deposit if you want one. These are the same steps you will see inside Flow, in the guide at the top of Quotes.

  1. 01Write it as a draftSay who it is for, what it includes and what it comes to, and give it a date it is good until. A draft has no reference and nobody can see it — change or delete it as often as you like.
  2. 02Ask for a deposit if you want oneYour client pays it by card or PayPal as they sign, so work can start the moment they say yes.
  3. 03Send itSending gives it a reference and your client a link. References have no gaps: they are handed out in the order quotes go out.
  4. 04Watch for OpenedThe quote moves to Opened the moment your client looks at it, so you know the difference between unseen and undecided.
  5. 05They sign on the linkTyping their name is the signature. It is kept with the time and a fingerprint of the quote exactly as it stood, so any later change shows as a change.
  6. 06Turn it into an invoiceOne press copies the lines they agreed to into an invoice — and only ever once, so a quote can never be billed twice.
  • Your win rate — signed, waiting on them, and declined — is at the top of the page.

Questions

About Quotes.

Is a typed name a valid signature?

Flow stores the typed name with the time and a fingerprint of the quote as it stood when it was signed, so the agreement can be shown exactly. Whether that satisfies a particular law is for your own adviser.

Can a quote expire?

Yes — give it a date it is good until, and your client sees it.
